Frequency Memorial is a sculpture emitting a continuously looping soundtrack. A series of acrylic outlines, created through the simplification of columns of names, are arranged across the front of the sculpture. The outlines of the names, which resemble sound waves, are transformed into sound by means of an image synthesizer (Coagula).“Frequency Memorial” is the product of the removal of all legible content from a memorial, resulting in a hollow, austere, abstract form.
